Ten Public Hearings/Annual District Meetings of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission scheduled for September 2011.  Meetings are held in all nine wildlife districts and a tenth statewide meeting will be held in Raleigh.  For detailed information, visit the NC Wildlife Resources Commission website.

Bear Meetings August 9, 10, and 11, 2011 in eastern and western North Carolina to discuss WRC's new draft for a Bear Management Plan.  These meetings are sponsored by the NC Sporting Dog Association and hosted by local bear hunters.  First Meeting is on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:30 pm at The Inn at Moratoc, 101 East Blvd., Williamston, NC 27892.  Second Meeting is on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:30 pm at the Club House of Limestone Hunting Club, 323 Willard Edwards Road, Beulaville, NC 28518.  Third Meeting is on Thursday at 7:00 pm (not 7:30) at the Haywood County Fairgrounds, 758 Crabtree Road, Waynesville, NC 28518.  You are welcome to attend.
