Wednesday, August 24, 2011:  David Hoyle, Jr. will present information to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission Big Game Committee obtained from the three Bear Meetings conducted by the NC Sporting Dog Association.

Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Waynesville, NC:  bear hunters gather in Western NC to discuss proposals from NC WRC to allow killing of bears over bait and other possible changes to bear hunting laws.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Beulaville, NC:  bear hunters gather in Southeastern NC to discuss proposals from NC WRC to allow killing of bears over bait and other possible changes to bear hunting laws.

Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Williamston, NC:  bear hunters gather in Northeastern NC to discuss proposals from NC WRC to allow killing of bears over bait and other possible changes in bear hunting laws.

In the summer of 2011, newly elected NC Wildlife Resources Commission Chairman David Hoyle, Jr. was invited by Joe McClees of the NC Sporting Dog Association to visit with bear hunters and hear their concerns about proposed changes that would allow still hunting bear over bait.
